For three years the Klamath Watershed Partnership’s “Beaver Management Team” has been working with landowners on mitigation projects to assist with nuisance beavers and a relocation program from lower to higher elevations where they assist with the eco-system.  The team has worked with landowners who want to remove their nuisance beavers and those who want them near their property.

The Klamath Watershed Partnership has teamed up with Dr. Joseph Wheaton, Assistant  Professor, Utah State University, for a Beaver Management Workshop - Living and Working with Beavers –
July 21-22, 2014, in Chiloquin, Or.  (See attached agenda)
Dr.  Wheaton is an Assistant Professor at Utah State University and a fluvial geomorphologist with fifteen years of experience in river restoration.

This two day workshop is intended for landowners, researchers, graduate students, resource managers, restoration practitioners, and others interested in the benefits of beavers in the watershed including the use of beavers for restoring rivers and/or streams.  The workshop will be both instructional and in the field at working beaver sites.  Participants are encouraged to bring waders or rubber boots for the field portion of the workshop.
Attendance at this workshop is limited.  Please make your reservations as soon as possible.
