Diane, it seems a pity that your notice of motion isn't getting the attention it deserves in light of recent events.  Figuring out how we deliver on effective public transportation in Calgary is important.

Calgary TransitCamp supports an investigation and a report to Council and Calgarians into the merits of establishing a standalone governing and operating body for public transit in this great city.  We would recommend expanding the reach of this investigation beyond Toronto and Montreal to include research into transit governance and operations in jurisdictions across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.  Calgary TransitCamp stands ready to assist in the necessary fact-finding and analytical activities to ensure that we are able to find the most effective, transparent, and accountable public transit governance and operations solution for Calgarians.

Please feel free to call on me for any further suggestions and ideas, Diane, and have a great weekend!
