Hello everybody,

I'll be in Calgary from Monday, April 14th, to Wednesday, but as it
happens I only have the Wednesday evening still open. Would anyone be
up for a Lisp meeting in the evening? I could give a debrief of the
Lisp activity happening in the LA area, but on the technical front I
unfortunately haven't had the time to do anything interesting since I
left Calgary, so there won't be a presentation on my part.

Thank you,
Vladimir

I propose that we take Vladimir's return as a good excuse to meet up. So, how's April 16 for you guys? (Wade? Mike? Aaron? Scott? Warren? Everybody?)

I have an additional suggestion: let's actually do some hacking. Dinner is fun but the meetings are better with real code. Let's have dinner and code.

I propose something to do with Parenscript. Since Vladimir's the maintainer, it's an interesting project, and some of us are actively developing with it.

Matter of fact, I have a very specific proposal. I'd like to hack Parenscript to support a "minify" option that would produce the smallest possible javascript for deployment. I think this would be interesting, fun, and not too hard. It would involve diving into the internals of a real Lisp project with a specific goal in mind.

I'm in. Code + dinner sounds good, as long as I don't get
any fingernails in my soup.

I will be able to make it.   Parenscript sounds like a good topic.

That sounds like an awesome idea. Plus, it gives me motivation to fix
some of the outstanding Parenscript bugs before the meeting takes
place. Bring your laptops!

Anybody want to suggest a location? Arcurve have a projector now. I think it would be ok with them if we took over their meeting room for the evening. But we could also probably borrow their projector and take it some other place, too. Suggestions?

Hey everyone,

The meeting is this Wednesday. The Arcurve office is a go (#400, 1108 - 11 Ave SW). That's good because we can use their projector to look at real code. Does 7:30 work? Anyone interested in grabbing dinner beforehand? There's a very good Persian place not far from here.

Bah. I mistyped the address! The correct address is:

Arcurve
#400, 708 - 11 Ave SW

We'll have someone downstairs at 7:30 to let you in. Phone 608-2582 if you're not met at the door.

I won't be able to make it for dinner tonight, but I should be there at 7:30. I think I've convinced Derek Scherger to come along as well.
