Does anybody have a SATA Raid card they don't need any more? It needs to support at least 4 SATA ports and do RAID 5, it must support disks of at least 3 TB in size. I would prefer if it did at least SATA II. I don't really care if it is a "fake raid" card. I just need something that will present four disks as one disk to the OS without wasting two disks for redundancy. Performance is not my main criteria on this job. Alternatively if you have a motherboard with processor compatible process attached that does RAID 5 and has at least 4 SATA ports I may also be interested. Let me know and we can discuss terms.
I decided to try to refurbish my home file server and it has turned into gigantic fiasco. How do I have 10 computers in my house and have none that do what I need?
