What: Speakers' Corner Calgary - "Post Secondary Education Should Be Free"
When: Sunday, October 6th, 1:30PM
Where: Tomkins Park, 17th Avenue at 8th Street SW

This special edition of Speakers' Corner Calgary hosts a conversation exploring the idea that a post secondary education should be free. Alberta, a province with great resource wealth is perhaps best-suited to consider this idea.  Speakers from Calgary's post secondary institutions, the political sphere, and from the public will lend their respective voices to a topic that is especially relevant, given recent cuts to education, increases in tuition, and a province facing pressure to "balance the budget".

This special edition experiments with a format that, unlike a traditional stage/audience format, lends itself to an ongoing conversation where the initial speakers become audience and the audience take part in the conversation. Expect to be thoroughly engaged!  Members of the public will have an opportunity to voice their views on the topic of the day as well as, time permitting, on such other issues as may spontaneously arise after the topic of the day is covered.

Speakers’ Corner is presented and organized by the Zinner Law Office, assisted and sponsored by the Calgary Leadership Forum under permit from the City of Calgary.
