Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.11, was released. Now recurring
tasks are supported and you can accept or decline event invitations
from within CalenGoo.

These are the most important changes:

- Event invitations can now be accepted/declined from within the app
by tapping your own name in the attendee list of the event's detail
screen.

Please see here for a few screenshots how this should look like:

http://www.calengoo.com/docs/pageedit/pageedit.html#respond

- Recurring tasks are now supported. When a recurring task is
completed, it automatically moves the due date to the next due date
according to the recurrence rule.

You can set the recurrence rule for a task in the task edit screen.
When you mark such a task as completed, the due date is changed and
displayed and the task is marked as uncompleted again. Please see here
for a video how this looks like:

http://www.calengoo.com/docs/pagetasks/pagetasks.html#recurringtasks

- Events can be saved into multiple calendars at the same time
("Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Edit view", "Save into
multiple calendars")

Sometimes it may be useful to save the same event e.g. in a personal
calendar and one or more shared calendars. E.g. when scheduling a
meeting you can save an event into the calendars of your colleagues
this way. However afterward these events are all independent, so you
cannot edit them all at once after they have been saved.

- The task synchronization now supports the new 2 step verification
with application-specific passwords for normal accounts

Google's 2 step verification is a way to improve the security of your
Google account. Here you can read more about it:

http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/static.py?page=guide.cs&guide=1056283&topic=1056284

In CalenGoo you have to use an "application specific password"
mentioned in the documentation of Google's 2 step verification.

- The events in the agenda view can be displayed without the end date
("Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Agenda view", "Show end
time")

If turned off the start date is displayed with a larger font.

- Declined events can now be faded ("Settings", "Display and Use",
"Expert", "Day view", "Fade declined events")

You can choose if you want to hide these events completely
("Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Hide declined
events") or just fade them. Tentative ("Maybe") events are faded a
little and declined events are faded more.

- Fixed columns can be used for calendars in the day view if you are
using your calendar to manage resources ("Settings", "Display and
Use", "Expert", "Day view", "Fixed column for each calendar")

If you have resources to manage/rent, you can use this function to
have fixed columns for each calendar. Then you can create one calendar
for each resource and easily see when a resource is booked and when it
is free. Please see the screenshot here (below the middle of the page
in the left column):
http://www.calengoo.com/Configuration.html

- The age of yearly events (e.g. birthdays) can be displayed
("Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Show age of
yearly events")

This can display e.g. the age of a person if you have a calendar that
contains these birthdays as yearly recurring events starting on the
day of birth. However it doesn't work with the birthday calendar of
the iPhone, because there all birthdays seem to start in the current
year. A working solution for the birthdays of the iPhone will be added
soon.

- An option to activate special time zone calculations has been added
for situations with many very different time zones ("Settings",
"Display and Use", "All", "Expert/Maintenance", "Advanced time zone
support")

There are some special situations where this function can be useful to
see the correct times. However it might slow down the app a little and
won't be necessary for most users.

- Some bug fixes

The next update, 1.5.12, will probably become available in a few weeks
and will probably contain a better way to display the age of the
iPhone's contacts/birthdays.

Kind regards

Dominique
