Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.0, was released. It contains
support for the iPad, support for icons and a few minor improvements:

- iPad support, native resolution, use of special iPad user interface
elements (therefore iPhone OS 3.0 or better is needed for this update)

With the added support for the iPad it was technically no longer
possible to maintain iPhone OS 2.2.1 compatibility. But now you can
use the same app on your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and, while having
the same functionality, it will take advantage of the larger screen
when running on the iPad.

- Icons can now be added to events and are also visible in Google
Calendar ("Settings", "Icons" in CalenGoo)

In the English version of Google Calendar, there is a Google Labs
feature called "Event flair". It allows you to add icons to events
that are displayed in the different views of Google Calendar. If you
turn "Settings", "Icons", "Show Icons" on in CalenGoo, you can see
these icons in CalenGoo, too. Additionally you can assign icons to
events using CalenGoo and even add your own icons if you like. To add
an icon you have to upload it as a 16x16px PNG to a webserver and
enter the address in CalenGoo. Please see here for more details:

- Google Tasks: sync bugfixes and support for a larger notes field

The configuration of the Google Tasks feature is now less error-prone.
Additionally in the last version it had been difficult to read longer
notes in the tasks because they were displayed in a single editable
row. Now there is a small blue arrow on the right of this row to get
to a multiline text edit field.

- The "Clear" button in the tasks view moves the completed tasks to
the "completed" list instead of deleting them.

Google Tasks manages a hidden "completed tasks" list for every list
you have configured. The last version of CalenGoo simply deleted all
completed tasks when you used the "Clear" button. The new version
moves the tasks to these "completed" lists. But this works only when
you are connected to the Internet, when you are offline it will offer
you to delete the tasks instead. You can see these "completed" lists
in Google Tasks/Google Calendar ("View completed tasks").

- The search function orders the results by future and past events and
displays occurrences of recurring events two months into the past and
the future.

Occurrences of recurring events are now also displayed. They are
displayed with a brighter text color than the other events to be able
to distinguish them from the normal result.

- When using "Jump to date" you can use the numberpad to enter the
date.

This way it is much faster to jump to a distant date when you know the
exact day.

- When deleting events with attendees, the attendees can be informed
that the event has been canceled.

When you tap the "trash" button in the edit view and this event had
attendees, you are asked if you would like to inform them that the
event has been canceled. If you agree, the event will be saved as a
"Canceled" event in Google Calendar and Google Calendar automatically
sends cancelation emails to the attendees.

- several smaller usability improvements and bug fixes

E.g. you can now have your working time displayed in the landscape day
view by turning "Settings", "Colors etc.", "Landscape day view
(week)", "Show workingtime" on.

The next version will probably contain an improved month view and
other smaller improvements.

Kind regards

Dominique
