Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, 1.5.35, has been released a few days ago. Starting on November 17th Google will support only the OAuth2 sync method and stop the email/password and AuthSub sync methods. CalenGoo has supported syncing via OAuth2 already for a long time but by default it used email/password. This was changed with 1.5.35, now OAuth2 is the default and the login screen has changed.

However all users who are still using the other two methods have to switch to OAuth2. For this purpose version 1.5.35 contains a function under "Settings", "Accounts", "Convert to OAuth2" which does this almost automatically. You just have to tap "Start conversion" and then sign in to your Google account again.

Please use this "Convert to OAuth2" function (which is only visible if you are not syncing via OAuth2 yet) soon. You have to do this only once and it shouldn't change anything (except that the sync might be faster afterward and you can select an individual color for each event).

If you have added more than one Google account under "Settings", "Accounts" then please wait for version 1.5.36 before switching to OAuth2 because due to a bug the first calendar of all accounts except for the primary account is skipped during the sync. But if you have only one Google account you should already switch to OAuth2.

Unfortunately version 1.5.35 contains also two small bugs that affect iOS 7 devices and the "[+] for tasks/events" function, so if you have any problems please see here how to fix them:

Version 1.5.36 will be released soon, probably in about 1-2 weeks. It will display a warning if someone has not switched to OAuth2 yet. Additionally it will allow to shade the background of configurable time ranges in the day view with different colors.

Kind regards

Dominique
