Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.7, was released. The most
important new function is probably the "Sync on exit" option that can
start the sync when you leave the app. This way you won't have to wait
for the sync to complete and can use other apps while CalenGoo
performs the sync. This function requires iOS4 and multitasking.

Additionally the new version should be a little faster and display
"Loading" less often when events are moved or copied via drag&drop.

These are the most important changes:

- Sync on exit, i.e. you can run the sync in the background when the
application is exited (need iOS4 and multitasking)

You can turn this feature on under "Settings", "Display and Use",
"General", "Sync on exit". In addition you should set "Settings",
"Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Min. time between auto
syncs" to 5 minutes or more to prevent the sync from being started too
often when you switch between CalenGoo and other apps repeatedly
within a short period of time.

iOS allows CalenGoo to run up to 10 minutes after the app has been
exited, so if anything goes wrong it cannot use more than 10 minutes
of your battery power. And in most normal cases 10 minutes should be
enough to finish the sync.

- Shake to sync function (optional)

You can turn it on under "Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced",
"General", "Shake to sync". Then the sync can be started by shaking
the device while viewing one of the calendar views.

- Support for busy/free attribute of Google Calendar

The busy/free attribute of Google Calendar has been added to the edit
view. This way you can indicate if an event will prevent you from
attending other events at the same time.

- Option to display tasks in landscape day view

The tasks with a due date for a certain day can now be displayed in
the all-day events area of the landscape day view. ("Settings",
"Tasks", "Landscape day view")

- Function to send events via SMS or email

There is a new "Send" button at the bottom of the detail view to send
the current event via SMS or email. It is just informative, i.e. it is
not a computer parseable format.

- Migration tool to copy iPhone calendars to Google Calendar

If you have existing events in the iPhone calendar and want to start
using Google Calendar, you can use the function "Settings", "Migrate"
to copy events from one of your iPhone calendars to one of your Google
calendars. The "Settings", "Migrate" menu is only visible if
"Settings", "Display and Use", "General", "Show iPhone/iPod calendars"
is turned on.

- Updates to attendees can be sent when an event is moved via
drag&drop

When you move an event to a new time via drag&drop the attendees are
informed. You can turn it off under "Settings", "Display and Use",
"Expert", "Edit view", "Guest notifications for drag&drop".

- A few additional font and color configuration options

E.g. you can now change the font of the date headers in the week view
and the background color of the timeline in the day view.

- Confirmation dialog when deleting events via drag&drop

If you delete an event via drag&drop you will now be asked if you
really want to do this. If you don't like this confirmation dialog,
you can turn it off under "Settings", "Display and Use", "All",
"General", "Confirm drag&drop deletion".

- Days in month view are now selectable

You can tap a day in the month view to select it (it will be marked
with a blue background) and when tapping the "+" button the new event
will be added for this selected day.

With the next update probably the task functions will be improved.

Kind regards

Dominique
