Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.10, was released. Among other
improvements it contains a new way to create an event from a contact
and tasks can have reminders now.

Unfortunately it also contains a small bug: If you use the "Phone
numbers" feature to highlight phone numbers and addresses in the
detail view, you might get an error when you try to tap them. To fix
this, just tap them longer until a menu appears. Then you can normally
call the number or open the location in Google Maps. This bug will be
fixed with the next update, but it is not a big problem, just press
the link a little longer.

These are the most important changes:

- Auto search function for contacts: Turn "Settings", "Display and
Use", "Advanced", "Edit view", "Auto search contacts in title editor"
on, create a new event and start typing a name from your contacts in
the title editor.

If you enable this function and start typing a name in the title
editor for a new event, a table will appear showing you matching
contacts. When you select a contact, its name is copied into the
title, the address into the location field and the email addresses and
phone numbers into the description field. This way you can quickly
schedule a meeting with someone without adding him/her as attendee.

- Attendees in the detail view can be tapped to start searching the
email address in the contacts. If it is found, the contact is opened.

If you have an event with attendees, you can now open the matching
contact. This way you can call the attendee or see his/her address.

- A default availability for new events can be configured under
"Settings", "Display and Use", "All", "Edit view", "Default
availability setting".

- Reminders for tasks can be specified, just turn "Settings",
"Reminders", "Task reminders" on and add reminders in the task's edit
view.

When "Task reminders" is turned on, you can specify reminders for your
tasks below the notes field of the task, just scroll the table a
little up. If a reminder is specified for the same date as the due
date, only the time is saved and the reminder is moved to the new date
when the due date is changed. If the task does not have a due date or
the reminder is on another day, the reminder's date is also saved. The
reminders are saved in the notes field of the task.

- Past events can be faded out by turning "Settings", "Display and
Use", "Expert", "Agenda view", "Fade past events" on.

With this function you can quickly see in the agenda view which events
are old.

- The "Today" button moves the current event to the top of the agenda
view if "Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Agenda view", "Today
button skips past events" is turned on.

If you turn this function on, you just have to tap the "Today" button
to see your current event at the top of the agenda view and the
upcoming events are displayed below.

- The search function can now also search in the tasks ("Settings",
"Display and Use", "Advanced", "Search view", "Search in tasks").

You can also change tasks directly from the search view by tapping the
blue button at the end of the line.

- A few bug fixes and usability improvements

The next update, 1.5.11, will probably become available in a few
weeks. It will fix the bug with the linked phone numbers and add
further improvements.

Kind regards

Dominique
