Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.14, was released a few days
ago. CalenGoo can now print the calendar, templates can be created and
used and additional navigation apps were integrated.

Unfortunately the update also contains a small bug: The due and
overdue tasks in the tasks view are not displayed in red, they are
black like the other tasks. This will be fixed with the next update in
a few weeks. You can still see the due and overdue tasks in the
calendar views by turning "Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced",
"Tasks view", "Show overdue tasks on today" on.

These are the most important changes:

- Print functions were added. You can now print the day, week, month,
agenda and tasks view or email it as a PDF file

You can find this function under "Settings", "Print". On the iPad
there is an additional button in the lower right corner of the screen.
You can print via AirPrint or email a PDF file. Here you can find a
few screenshots:

- Templates can be created, organized in folders and inserted into new
or existing events

A new template function has been added. To access it, a new button has
been added to the detail view and the edit view. In the detail view it
can only be used to create new templates. In the edit view it can be
used to either create a template from the current event or to insert a
template into the edit view. Templates can be organized in folders and
subfolders. Templates can also be combined, to create an event by
using the title and location of one template and the attendees of
another. Please see here:

Unfortunately there is a small bug when deleting folders. It might
cause templates to vanish. The bug will be fixed with the next update
and then these templates will also reappear, because they are not
deleted but only hidden. However this problem won't affect your
calendar or tasks, only the templates. To work around this problem
just return to the calendar view after deleting a folder or a
template.

- The settings can now be exported and imported to create a backup

This way you can also transfer them to another device or restore them
if you had to reinstall CalenGoo. Please see here:

http://www.calengoo.com/docs/pageadvanced/pagesettings/pagesettings.html

- Anniversaries can now be displayed

In addition to birthdays also the anniversaries of your contacts can
now be displayed if "Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced",
"General", "Show birthdays of contacts" is turned on.

- Optional display of sunrise and sunset for the current location

Under "Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Day view"/"Landscape
day view (week)", "Show sunrise/sunset" you can choose between "None",
"Instead of work hours", "as lines" and "as lines with icons". This
will display the sunrise and sunset of your current location in
different ways in your calendar. To compute the sunrise and sunset it
will need your position. So after turning this on the iPhone/iPad will
ask you if you allow the app to determine your location.

- The week number can be displayed on the badge

This is a new option under "Settings", "Badge on app's icon".

- Optional cache for iOS calendars, to improve the speed ("Settings",
"Display and Use", "All", "Expert/Maintenance", "Cache for iOS
calendars")

This will reduce the amount of accesses to the iOS calendars and can
improve the speed.

- Option to reduce the delay after saving an event ("Settings",
"Display and Use", "All", "Expert/Maintenance", "Compute reminders/
badges in background")

If it takes a few seconds after saving an event before returning to
the calendar view, please try to turn this option on. The delay is
caused by the computation of the reminders and badge numbers. When
this option is turned on, CalenGoo will do this in the background and
you can already continue to use CalenGoo.

- Tasks can be sorted alphabetically

The sort option in the tasks view got an additional option "Sort
(alphabetical)"

- Added support for additional navigation systems, now Navigon,
TomTom, Sygic and Skobbler are supported

When one of these navigation systems is installed, you can use it to
navigate to a location of an event. Just tap the event's location and
choose between Google Maps and the installed navigation apps. To make
TomTom appear in this menu you have to turn "Settings", "Display and
Use", "Expert", "Detail view", "Open with TomTom" on (because TomTom
cannot be detected automatically). Unfortunately the current version,
4.1, of Skobbler seems to have a bug that was confirmed by them and
prevents the Skobbler integration to work correctly. Skobbler is
started but does not navigate to the location. The Skobbler support
said this will be fixed with Skobbler 4.2. Then it should work, no
update of CalenGoo is necessary.

- When an event is linked to a contact and you use the "Send" function
in the detail view, you can also choose an email or phone number of
the contact

When you tap the "Send" button in CalenGoo's detail view and CalenGoo
finds a linked contact, it will offer you to use the contact's email
or phone number as recipient for the email or text message.

- You can now specify for each calendar if it should be synced during
the automatic sync or only when syncing manually

Just tap the blue button behind the calendar's name under "Settings",
"Visibility/Download". There you can choose under "Auto sync" between
"On every sync", "Only when syncing manually" and "Erase and re-
download on every sync". This way you can select only your important
calendars to be synced when the automatic sync is run. The others are
synced when you run the sync manually using the "Start Sync" button.

- You can specify a default icon for each calendar

In the same place (i.e. in the details of the calendar) you can set a
default icon that is used for all events in this calendar that do not
have an icon. This option only appears if "Settings", "Icons", "Show
Icons" is turned on.

The next update, 1.5.15, will probably contain a function to quickly
toggle the visibility of single calendars. Due to the two mentioned
bugs it will be released soon, probably in a few weeks.

Kind regards

Dominique
