Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.15, was released a few days
ago. CalenGoo can now show all-day events in a separate bar at the top
of the landscape day view and it can display a bar with the names of
your calendars at the bottom of the screen to quickly view/hide single
calendars.

These are the most important changes:

- The date and the all-day events can now be displayed in a separate
header bar at the top of the landscape day view (just turn "Settings",
"Display and Use", "Landscape day view (week)", "All-day events in
background" off)

There are also options to change the style, size and color of this
header. It is also possible to only display the date in this separate
header bar but still display the events in the background.
("Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "Landscape day view
(week)", "Separate date header"). This new header bar supports
drag&drop, so you can easily move/copy your all-day events to another
day this way.

- A bar with buttons for your calendars can be displayed at the bottom
of the screen to quickly turn calendars on or off ("Settings",
"Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Show calendar selection
bar")

It can show a bar with buttons for your calendars. To view/hide a
calendar just tap it once. To show only a single calendar and hide all
others, just long-press it. To show all others again, just long-press
the single calendar again.

Under Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Calendars
for selection bar" you can specify which calendars should be in the
calendar bar so that you can have buttons only for those calendars
that you want to hide sometimes.

- The print function now supports selecting which calendars should be
printed and if colored bars should be used for all-day events

Previously all calendars that were visible were also printed. Now you
can choose which calendars should be printed. And turning off the
colored bars can save some ink.

- The numberpad now allows to enter times with 1-minute precision even
if 5/15 minute precision is selected for the time wheels

E.g. now you can enter "09:01 am" on the numberpad and it won't be
rounded to your configured minute precision any more.

- CalenGoo can now check for conflicting events when saving an event
("Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Edit view", "Check for
conflicting events")

If this is turned on, CalenGoo will display a warning when you are
trying to save an event that is in conflict with other events. It will
show the time and title of the other events and you can decide if you
still want to save the event. Under "Settings", "Display and Use",
"Expert", "Edit view", "Conflicts with all-day events" you can specify
if all-day events on the same day should be considered as conflicting
events. And under "Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Edit
view", "Calendars for checking conflicts" you can select the calendars
that should be checked for conflicts.

- Overnight-events can be displayed as a bar in the month view
("Settings", "Display and Use", "All", "Month view", "Overnight events
as bar")

This way you can display them like all-day events in the month view.

- Option to improve the sync speed has been added ("Settings",
"Display and Use", "All", "Expert/Maintenance", "Use database
transactions (improves sync speed)" and "Sync block size")

Especially when syncing a lot of changes or running the initial sync,
you can improve the speed by turning "Use database transactions" on
and setting "Sync block size" to "50". If no problems are reported, it
will probably be turned on by default in the future (I found no
problems so far).

Additionally the option "Settings", "Display and Use", "All", "Expert/
Maintenance", "Sync changes only for certain time range" has been
added which allows to limit the synchronized time range. Normally all
changed events are synced, independent of their date. E.g. if you add
an event for January 2010 now, it will be synced, because it was added
recently. However when setting "Sync changes only for certain time
range" to "Past 12 months" such an event wouldn't be downloaded from
Google Calendar and wouldn't appear in CalenGoo. This function is
normally only useful if you have calendars that often completely
change (e.g. because they are synced with some other software) so that
CalenGoo is forced to download all events from that calendar again.

- Option to trigger a sync of the internal calendars when CalenGoo is
started ("Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General", "Sync
iPhone/iPad/iPod touch calendars on startup")

Sometimes the automatic iCloud push sync seems to be unreliable or it
is turned off to save battery power. Then it is useful to turn this
option on to trigger a sync of the iOS calendar each time CalenGoo is
started (if you use iOS calendars in CalenGoo).

- bug fixes

The next update, 1.5.16, will probably be able to import single events
from ICS email attachments (e.g. from email invitations).

Kind regards

Dominique
