Hi!

A new version of CalenGoo, version 1.5.12, was released. A new year
view has been added which is turned on by default on the iPad and
turned off on the other devices.

Unfortunately a few people have the problem with the new version that
they cannot open "Settings", "Display and Use" any more. The reason
seems to be that these people have visible calendars that have no
name. To fix it just tap "Settings", "Visibility/Download" and check
if you have a calendar named "(null)". Tap it until it is marked with
a red dot. Afterward you should be able to open "Display and Use"
again. This bug will be fixed with version 1.5.13 soon. If you have
any additional problems, please contact me: cale...@dgunia.de

These are the most important changes:

- (Optional) vertically scrollable year view (activated by default on
the iPad, can be configured under "Settings", "Display and Use", "Year
view"). Events from your calendars can be displayed in the year view
(e.g. your holidays, birthdays or other all-day events). You can
choose which calendars should be displayed under "Settings", "Display
and Use", "Year view", "Calendars". Double tap a month in the year
view to open it in month view. Single tap a day to select it to either
open it in day or week view (just tap the day or week button
afterward) or to add a new event for that day (using the "+" button).
The tasks can be displayed in the year view by turning "Settings",
"Tasks", "Year view" on.

Please see here for further details and screenshots:

- Two additional copy&paste functions: You can copy&paste events with
the action button in the edit view and you can copy&paste events via
drag&drop if "Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "General",
"Drag&Drop clipboard" is turned on.

Here you can find an overview of all included functions to copy an
event:

- Additional reminder sound with increasing volume

There is a new reminder sound that you can use by selecting it for one
of your calendars under "Settings", "Reminders" in the calendar list.
The name of the new sound is "Ascending". It is 30 seconds long and
starts with a low volume which is increased until the end of the 30
seconds.

- Optional Navigon integration: If Navigon is installed and
"Settings", "Display and Use", "Expert", "Detail view", "Open with
Navigon" is turned on, you can open the location of an event with
Navigon and navigate to that address. This will only work if you are
using a certain format for entering your addresses: The street and the
city must be separated by a comma like "21 Main Str, Denver 12345".

It is possible that some addresses are not correctly recognized which
can cause Navigon to be started but it won't start the navigation.
This will be improved in the future if I get reports about such
addresses. Please see here for details:

http://www.calengoo.com/docs/pageadvanced/pagenavigon/pagenavigon.html

- The events in the landscape day view can be displayed side-by-side
as in the portrait day view instead of overlapping: Just turn
"Settings", "Display and Use", "Advanced", "Landscape day view
(week)", "Overlap events" off.

This is especially useful on the iPad where enough screen space is
available to display all events side-by-side.

- Configurable sound for the task reminders: "Settings", "Tasks",
"Sound for reminders".

The previous versions used the system default sound for task
reminders, now you can choose one of CalenGoo's sounds.

- Bug fixes

The next update, 1.5.13, will probably become available soon and will
allow to display the birthdays of your contacts including their age
and year of birth.

Kind regards

Dominique
