I am using Calengoo on my android phone. When I enter my location under "Weather" I am entering my hometown. However, there apparently are 5 cities in the United States with the same name. Openweathermap.org selects whichever one of those cities it wants, I cannot pick. The weather location report it is giving me is wrong by about 700 miles. Is there a way to better define which city and state i live in? Is there a way to use a better weather service, i.e. Dark Sky?

Hi!

Thank you for your email! You can probably add the name of the state to choose the correct city. In the future I will make it possible to automatically determine the correct city by using your current position.

Dark Sky is a paid weather service whereas OpenWeatherMap.org is free. I can add support for Dark Sky but it will cost money, maybe $1-2 each year. Would you be willing to pay $1-2 each year for a better weather service? I will add this if enough people are interested in it but it seems that most people don't want to pay for a better weather service and unfortunately better weather data is not offered for free by Dark Sky and the other companies.

Kind regards

An alternative to paying $1-2 would be to use e.g. Google Opinion Rewards ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.paidtasks ) to earn Google Play credits or maybe to do a Pollfish survey every few month.
