Hi Dominique, my Name is Andrea
I have a samsung s21 ultra and a samsung watch 2.
Activity reminder notifications do not appear on samsung watch. I proceeded to put off the pop up window but to no avail. Appointment notifications instead appear correctly on the samsung watch. Can you give me some suggestions? Thank you

Hi Andrea,

thank you for your message! I will answer your question but usually this is the Google Group for the iOS version and the Google Group for the Android version is here: https://groups.google.com/g/calengoo-android-support

Usually it should be sufficient to turn "Settings > Reminders > Show pop-up window" off in CalenGoo so that CalenGoo uses status bar notifications, which are automatically mirrored onto the watch by Android. The only difference between task notifications and event notifications is that a different notification channel is used. You can see and configure the notification channels under "Settings > Reminders > Notification settings" in CalenGoo.

Are the appointment notifications coming from CalenGoo or are they maybe from the Android calendar?

Have you configured your watch to display CalenGoo's notifications?

Kind regards

Dominique

Sorry, I posted in the wrong place. If you want you can delete or move the conversation of the group.
Settings > Reminders > Show pop-up window" off  - "Yes, I did that"
Are the appointment notifications coming from CalenGoo or are they maybe from the Android calendar? - "Yes, there is a check on activate reminders, there is no check on android calendars, the premomories of all calendars are displayed. The strange thing is that the appointments in the diary are notified, the activities no ..."
Have you configured your watch to display CalenGoo's notifications?  - "Yes, see the above"
Thanks...
A.

No problem, we can continue it here. Just for future posts you can use the other group.

When you look at the notifications on your phone (not your watch) you should see to which app each notification belongs to. Do the event notifications really belong to CalenGoo or do they belong e.g. to the Android calendar app or the Google Calendar app? I.e. are really some of CalenGoo's notifications displayed on the watch or do they actually belong to a different app?

No, I meant in the "Android Wear" app or the app that came with your watch. I think there you can select which notifications should be displayed.

Kind regards

Yes, I have activated the notifications of Calengoo on phone and I have activated the notifications on the watch. On the phone I have not put the check on "reminders for android calendars" but it seems that only the calendar notifications are activated on the watch (the system one, because I don't have the google calendar). You advise me to reset the phone settings ?

Hi!

"The system one"? So in CalenGoo in the "Settings > Accounts" screen only "Android" is turned on and "Reminders for Android calendars" is turned off in the "Settings > Reminders" screen so that CalenGoo creates only notifications for tasks but not for events?

That means that your watch doesn't display any of CalenGoo's reminders, right? Can you see CalenGoo's notifications on the phone? Are they normal notifications that can be swiped out of the screen to dismiss them?

Please email me your settings, maybe I can see something: Tap "Settings > Display and Use > Maintenance > Export settings > File/Email > Send email" in CalenGoo to email me your settings (to and...@calengoo.com ).

Thank you very much!

Kind regards

Dominique

Thank you very much! After importing your settings, CalenGoo displayed this warning under "Settings > Reminders":

So does turning "Prevent dismissing notifications..." off fix the problem as mentioned in the warning?

I suppose you did not see this warning. Do you have a suggestion where I could put it to make it better visible? Maybe by displaying a warning dialog the first time you start CalenGoo after connecting a watch for the first time? 🤔 I suppose this setting was already turned on when you bought your watch so that you could not see the warning, right? You are not the first user with that problem so I am trying to find a solution to make such warnings easier to find while at the same time not annoying all users. 😊

Interesting, Google Groups seems to have problems with images in posts. I could not post it with the screenshot I made. Let's try again.
