I'd be grateful for getting recommendations for CalDAV servers to sync calendars between Calengoo clients as well as to send appointment reminders via email.

Background to my questions is that I have used a CalDAV calendar whose web interface supports up to 5 reminders, like Calengoo, including email reminders.
Now that I am switching my clients to Calengoo, it turns out their email-reminder settings is not (fully) CalDAV-compliant, or way outdated, or both. With the result that my appointment reminders getting messed-up, or not working when created with Calengoo.

TNX!

Hi,

CalenGoo saves email reminders like this:

BEGIN:VALARM
ACTION:EMAIL
DESCRIPTION:This is an event reminder
TRIGGER:-PT10M
END:VALARM

Isn't that what your CalDAV server expects? 🤔

Kind regards

Dominique Gunia

No idea what they expect. They themselves admitted that they are not compliant. I had no idea until I started using Calengoo clients. So, any recommendation for servers hosting calendars + emailing reminders that are known to expect what Dominique just outlined? What are others using, with good results? TNX!

I use Etesync. You can set up or add/import calendars there and they are synced in whichever app you use, such as Calengoo. Not sure I understand your usage, but it works for me with multiple calendars, both on Ubuntu and Android. Because I use Protonmail, Dominique worked with me to get that set up in Calengoo with the required bridge app, but I am still using Thunderbird for email and Calengoo for calendars.

Thank you, sounded like an interesting option. However, they do not seem to offer reminders for appoints, let alone multiple reminders, or email reminders:

For multiple and emailed reminders, I found that mailbox.org ticks all those boxes

Still interesting to know that Proton Bridge can be used to sync to Calengoo.
After all, Proton natively supports multiple and emailed reminders.

I get multiple reminders from calengoo, recurring, repeating, etc. I also can snooze for custom or preset times. The email reminders, nope and I have not gotten SMS reminders to work because of not using Google calendar (which implements those features).calengoo multiple reminders.png
