I tried pinning the Calengoo app to the KDE Plasma panel to have the launcher always there, but it stops working after the app is closed - its icon also diappears.

When Calengoo is open, the panel looks like this:
Bildschirmfoto_20251210_202237

As soon as I close Calengoo, it looks like this:

Bildschirmfoto_20251210_202357
Clicking on it now gives me this error popup:
Bildschirmfoto_20251210_203712
"This file doesn't exist anymore"
I also described the issue in my distro's forum, and another user describes a rather complicated way to make it work, i.e. it's feasible to have the Calengoo launcher in the KDE Plasma panel, but apparently only in the Java 8 version now.

> Can we have this happening in the Flatpak version too? That would be great! I much prefer Flatpak for my apps if available.

Hi,

I don't think this is a CalenGoo problem or a flatpak Problem. It seems to be a problem of KDE Plasma. Maybe you should ask in their forum? I mean, why should CalenGoo vanish from the panel, the flatpak is still there and can still be started. And in your distro's forum it seems to work for another user.

So instead of trying the complicated workaround I would rather suggest to try to find out why the flatpak version is not correctly displayed in KDE Plasma. Because it might affect other flatpak apps as well. And installing CalenGoo using flatpak is much better than the manual method (the complicated method described in the forum there).

If there is anything I need to change in CalenGoo's flatpak files then let me know and I will make the changes. But so far no one reported any problems and I don't know of any flatpak problems in CalenGoo.

Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you have further questions!

Kind regards

Dominique
