This feature does no longer work for me, any advice? Just the first reminder is played, 1.0.183.1671, thank you.

Hi,

maybe your Android system is not starting CalenGoo in the background to let it repeat the alarm. Please try the suggestions here:

Does that fix it?

Kind regards

Hi Dominique, I think none of them is the culprit. I took CG open all time time: the first reminder always plays, all the subsequent ones never. I set Replay alarm every 15 seconds for a maximum of 5 times and with CG open all but the original reminder played. Maybe I am with a previous beta?

Hi Dominique, any further piece of advice? I havo no issues with reminders, if I set tens of tssks all of them will fire up, at any time, no wake up issues at all. What doesn't work are all subsequent, automatic alarms, i.e. the "reminders of the reminder", those you set with the "Repeat alarm" feature. Most of the times I'm not there when an alarm fires, so I heavily rely on the repeat feature...

After hours and hours of trial and error I found an hint.

My saved settings spread over one thousand lines, but finally I found that just removing this one

remindersmultipopup=1

the repeat reminder feature starts working again.

The first reminder fires up and so the "repeated" ones, and all of the play the Pipe sound I chose (CG internal).

Now, if I enable the "Display multiple events in popup window", i.e. the one I manually removed from my config, then the first reminder fires up, and strangely enough it no longer plays the Pipe sound but a kind of a smartphone default notification tone, and there are no more "repeated" reminder (or maybe they are there but without any sound? it's just an hypothesis I could not verify anyway.

Dominique, come back to me soon...

Dominique, no way to have the above findings verified?

Hi Gian,

I have compared both pop-up dialogs but they seem to do the same regarding the repeat reminder function. Additionally I have tested it myself with "remindersmultipopup=1" and it worked fine for me as long as I don't close the dialog. When the dialog is closed, the alarm is stopped. That's on purpose because closing the dialog means that you have seen it. Otherwise you have to snooze the reminders.

Did you keep the dialog open?

Kind regards

Dominique

Hi Dominique, I don't have any "direct* dialogue since they are displayed only "after selecting status bar notifications".

It used to work while the phone was locked, repeated alarms were repeated as many times as I chose, unless I unlock the phone and selected the notification in the status bar.

Now it doesn't even work while I'm in the reminder settings page and use the "Test" option.

By the way, did I send you my exported config? Would you mind testing it with and without the  "Display multiple events in popup window" (plus "Display pop-up / "after selecting status bar notifications").

I am going to send it via email. If it worjs in both case for you I swear I'll stop inquiring, and insisting, further. Thank you, Gian.

Hi Gian,

I am sorry, I think I was able to reproduce the problem now. If you have configured the pop up to not open immediately but only display a status bar notification, then it won't display any specific event and so it won't use a specific reminder sound or any repeat interval. Repeating the notification is not supported in this configuration yet. You said you used it on an old phone previously. Did you maybe configure it differently there? 🤔

Kind regards

Dominique
