The “delete” button is too far away in the task editing toolbar. Depending on the resolution, the button doesn't even appear.

Is it possible to rearrange the buttons?

I think we delete tasks very often, whereas converting them into events is not so common.

I convert tasks to calendar events as much if not more than deleting tasks. Just use your finger to slide the the menu to the left, pretty simple solution.

I have a solution for you: create an event directly, pretty simple solution.
Your use case is irrelevant here.
An interface isn't designed around what you do "as much or even more," especially when a crucial button isn't even displayed depending on the resolution.
And "sliding the menu" isn't a solution; it's just ignoring the problem.
I suggest swapping the "delete" and "convert" buttons; that way, you just use your finger to slide the menu to the left, pretty simple solution. no ?

Hi,

at the end of the "Settings > Tasks" screen you can already remove some of the buttons from the toolbar. Is that maybe already sufficient? So that you remove buttons you don't need and then the important buttons fit on the screen? 🤔

Kind regards

Dominique

Hi,

I just saw that the "Toolbar" section under "Settings > Tasks" is for the toolbar in the main calendar/task view, not for the toolbar in the task edit screen. I have added new settings for the toolbar in the task edit screen now. I will send you a new version by email.

Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you have further questions!

Kind regards

Dominique

Thanks for this new option. 🙏🏼
However, I don't have any "Toolbar" section in "Settings > tasks" 🤔

Hi,

it should look like this in the new version:

Can you see that? Is "Settings > Display and Use > Edit view > Show toolbar" turned on?

Kind regards

It's ok now.
Adding something to sort the buttons would be perfect 😋

Note that "Support hashtags in tasks" option in your screenshot is not in the right place.

Hi,

thank you for this image! 😊 Now I see the problem! However, that setting is not just about the toolbar icon but also about the hashtag input field in the task edit screen. So I have moved it one section further up now, into "expert settings".

Please tell me if you find any other problems! Thank you very much! 😊

Kind regards

Dominique

The option is still in the wrong place in 1703 but maybe in a future one
