Hello,

first of all I am wondering whether everything's fine with Dominique.Β

I sent him many emails with no reply at all. I have to be honest, I used to sent him several emails in the past and he used to reply quite immediately.Β

That said, I'd ike to share with you my experience. I use mostly the Agenda view, where everything is shown, both events ans tasks.Β

I always used to have the tasks shown under the events, until I found the option to have them interleaved with events through the option "show tasks at reminder times between timed events" in the Agenda view.Β

The outfit is fantastic for my daily usage, but the overall usage is terribly bad: every thing you do, Calengoo reaction is terribly slow, if you want to jump to another day it takes something like 10 seconds, and the same happens for whatever change you do.Β

Any of you faced the same or at least can try that option an reports the outcomes? Thank you.Β

Hello Gian,

thank you, everything is fine with me. But when I get too many emails and also have other things to do, I cannot respond to all of them. And I also think it is better to use the Google Group here, if something is important, to let others see the discussions and maybe even help with finding solutions.

When using the "show tasks at reminder times between timed events" option then CalenGoo has to iterate all tasks and their reminders for each day displayed in the agenda view. This can certainly make CalenGoo slow if you have lots of tasks with reminders. I already tried to make this faster in the past but it will always be slower than just displaying the tasks on their due dates.

How many tasks with reminders do you have? And do they often have multiple reminders?

Kind regards

Dominique

Hello Dominique,Β

nice to get you back 😍

Currently I reckon not having nor too many tasks neither several reminders for each of them, 50 out of 100 have even no reminder at all. The only thing I noticed I have thousands of completed tasks (which have a reminder, I guess): are they perhaps the guilty ones?Β 1000116530.png

Hi Gian,

nice to get you back 😍

thank you very much! 😊

Is "Settings > Tasks > Hide completed tasks in calendar views" turned on or off?

Kind regards

Dominique

Wow, no words to thank you Dominique, I would have never said that that was the showstopper πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™Β

By the way, since you are here :in these days I tried to delete some completed tasks (in the hope they helped to get the subjected feature work). I opened the Search tool and looked up for someΒ  keywords with the aim to manually select all the ones I didn't meed anymore. Here I faced a little issue:if there are no Events listed among the Tasks, you cannot choose the Multiselect option. In fact, if you long click on a Task you don't get any menu.Β

Please tell me whether it is better to open a dedicate post,

GianΒ
