Hi Dominique

If I create a task in Google calendar (through my browser), with a due date of 1st of next month, and make it recurring (on the 1st of every month), it shows up in Google calendar as expected (the task is shown on the 1st of every month).

After syncing, the first iteration of the task (i.e., on the 1st of next month) shows up as expected in CG. However, it is NOT shown on the 1st of subsequent months. Initially, I thought it was a display issue, so I ensured that I had "Settings/Tasks/Display recurring tasks on all future due dates" checked - but that made no difference. So I opened the first iteration of the task (shown on the first of next month); the "recurring task" box is not checked.

Can you help?  Thanks.

Hi,

yes, unfortunately that's a problem on Google's side. When they added recurring tasks they did not extend the Google Tasks API, too. I.e. CalenGoo has no way to see or access the recurrence rule of the task or to see at all if a task is recurring. Thus CalenGoo has its own method to make a task recurring, by saving the recurrence rule into the notes field of the task. But that's certainly incompatible to Google's solution. That means both support recurring tasks but in incompatible ways. Maybe Google will fix this in the future.

Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you have further questions!

Kind regards

Dominique
