I have changed phones, i initially had a Samsung S5 and everything was working fine, i have upgraded to an LG G5 SE and i have kept the same number - Calengoo came over when data was transferred although i was charged for it again, but when i opened calengoo, shifts were missing.  I re entered the missing info and 2 hours later went to check something and the info had disappeared again.

I downloaded Google calendar and synced, but nothing worked, the shifts went missing again and now google calendar was doing the same.

I am pulling my hair out as i do not know what to do - i have deleted calengoo and google calendar and reset the phone back to factory settings but i am now unsure whether to reload calengoo in case i get charged again and worried the problem will return.

Any ideas

Hi!

Thank you for your message! You can download CalenGoo again for free from Google Play if you use the same Google account that you used for your original purchase from Google Play. Please see here:

It seems that you have synced CalenGoo via the Android calendar. I.e. CalenGoo just displays what the Android calendar displays and it also writes all your changes immediately into that calendar. The Android calendar then performs the sync with Google Calendar. I.e. if your events disappeared without using CalenGoo ("2 hours later"), it is unlikely that this can have been caused by CalenGoo, because CalenGoo does not modify your calendar while you are not using CalenGoo (aside from moving "floating events" forward at midnight). And you also saw that the same happens when using the Google Calendar app, which shows that the problem is probably in the Android calendar, not in CalenGoo or the Google Calendar app.

The easiest way to fix it will probably be to not sync the Android calendar at all with your Google Calendar account (start the "Settings" app, open your Google account under "Accounts" and uncheck "Calendars") and sync CalenGoo directly with Google Calendar (open "Settings > Accounts" in CalenGoo, uncheck "Android" and tap "Add account > Google" to add your Google account).

Then CalenGoo will perform the sync by itself and it should work fine.

If still events vanish we can use a new log function in CalenGoo that shows what CalenGoo has done during the sync, i.e. if it has deleted an event itself or if it just has received the information from Google Calendar that the event was deleted there. When another user had a similar problem we found out this way that something else has deleted some of her events in Google Calendar and CalenGoo has just received that they were deleted and thus removed them from its own database, too. Because she couldn't find out which program or system deleted the events, she created an additional calendar in Google Calendar, copied the event from the other calendar into it and used that new calendar. As far as I know it worked fine afterward.

Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you have further questions!

Kind regards

I have tried all of the above and my appointments are still missing on my phone. When I use other devices, the calengoo has all of the appointments still. I have contacted my wireless carrier and Samsung. No one can help.

Hi!

I have tried all of the above and my appointments are still missing on my phone. When I use other devices, the calengoo has all of the appointments still. I have contacted my wireless carrier and Samsung. No one can help.

Thank you for your message! If you can see your appointments on multiple other devices then your appointments seem to be synced with Google. Can you see them on http://calendar.google.com ?

Have you tried to open "Settings > Accounts" on your new phone, unchecking "Android" and then tapping "Add account > Google" and enter the Google account that you used on http://calendar.google.com ? Can you see your events afterward?

If you still cannot see them then open "Settings > Visibility/Download" and set your calendars to "Download, visible". Then return to the calendar view and check again if you can see them.

Does that fix it?

Please try this and don't hesitate to contact me again if you still have problems or if you have any questions!

Kind regards
