FR: get reminders/notifications for calendars that are hidden

Hi -- we have the ability (IIUC) to disable reminders for calendars that are visible, but we don't have the opposite: the ability to be notified of events in calendars that are linked but not visible.

For example, I have a calendar for daily reminders of things: e.g. to take a supplement at a certain time. I don't want to see this visually in my calendar view as it happens every day at the same time. It only exists so that I get a notification on my phone to prompt me to take it.

So I hide the calendar in Settings->Visibility/Download, but that also turns off the notifications/reminders. It would be great if there was a setting in the per-calendar settings, maybe in the "Advanced settings" area, to "Notify even if calendar is hidden". Alternately there could be two checkmarks: one to show/hide the events in the calendar, and one to enable/disable notifications/reminders.

(If there is some other way to accomplish the same end result, I'd love to hear about it!)

Hi,

an existing solution is to use the "calendar selection bar" to hide the calendar:

1. Turn the calendar on under "Settings > Visibility/Download".

2. Enable the "calendar selection bar" under "Settings > Display and Use > General > Show calendar selection bar".

3. Return to the calendar view. You should see the "calendar selection bar" with a button for each calendar at the bottom of the screen. Tap the calendar to turn it off. Afterward it won't be displayed but you will still receive reminders for events in it.

du hast dich anscheinend bei der Google Group als Mitglied angemeldet und daher erhältst du dann automatisch E-Mails über alles, was in der Google Group gepostet wird. Ich werde deine Einstellungen jetzt ändern, so dass du keine Nachrichten mehr bekommst. Du kannst es aber auch selbst in deinen Google Group Einstellungen ändern.
