Any suggestions as to how best to proceed on appointments with many attachments?

Sometimes on some kind of happening, many photos are being shot. When important/interesting I may add them to Outlook Calendar, as an attachment.
Microsoft 365, Outlook (Exchange).
No problem on PC. Sufficient space. However, that's different cook on a smartphone.
My smartphone still has 85GB free space left, so not an immediate issue.

Question: are images actually stored on the phone, or will they be retrieved from the server when needed, i.e. Calengoo only shows thumbnails and links to the server, or something like that, so as to save space. Once tapping on the thumbnail, it is retrieved from the server.
I don't know...

CalenGoo downloads only links to the attachments so there should be no problem with the space on your phone.
