Hi,

Google Play now requires all apps to target Android 15, which also means that all apps have to displaying their screens edge-to-edge, i.e. from under the status bar at the top to under the Android button bar at the bottom. Maybe you have already seen some apps that do not correctly implement this (I have already seen some in the past months). When it is not correctly implemented, user interface elements like buttons may appear below (i.e. obscured by) the Android button bar at the bottom (if you don't use gestures) and can be hard or impossible to tap.

CalenGoo has many screens and I hope I have checked and fixed all of them now. I have uploaded a new beta version 1.0.183 (1673), which I will release as a staged rollout over the next few days. If everything works fine it should look as before. But if you see some problems please tell me so that I can fix them. Thank you very much! 😊

Kind regards

Dominique

I opened up CalenGoo this morning and found that when I click on an event, I've lost the buttons that allow me to delete or edit it!

This is v1.0.183 (1675), Android 13.

Hi,

thank you for reporting this problem! Another user already reported a similar problem and I have already uploaded another update that should fix it. Can you find an update in Google Play?

Kind regards

Dominique

Hi,

and in the meantime you can fix it by temporarily turning "Settings > Display and Use > General > Save/Cancel at bottom of screen" off.

However, as I said, it should work fine again with the new update. If you cannot find it in Google Play, I can send it to you by email if you like! I am very sorry, that I overlooked this problem!

Kind regards

I now have build 1677, and the problem persists.  However, I've learned a little bit more: first, it turns out that the buttons ARE there, they're just invisible because they're black-on-black! If I click on the right side of the black bar, I can edit the event; clicking in the middle makes it ask if I want to delete it.  (And while I'm pushing on the button, the button turns dark gray instead of black, and I can briefly see the hidden black text.)

I should also note that I'm using CalenGoo's "Android 3/4" design. If I switch it to 2 or 5, the buttons are visible.  So it might not be related to the Edge-to-Edge thing?

Hi,

thank you for this additional information! I was able to reproduce it and fix it now. I will upload a new version 1679 after Google has finished reviewing and releasing 1678. Somehow it takes longer now. If you need it earlier I can send you the new version by email! 🙂

Please don't hesitate to contact me again if you have further questions!

Kind regards

Dominique

Great, thank you very much for testing it! I am glad that it works correctly now!

Then I can continue the rollout of the beta version now, which I had limited to 25% so far.

Kind regards

Dominique
