**Serious issues with the app**

Dear Dominique, the app has been working very poorly for some time now. It freezes continuously, the “Please wait” message keeps appearing, and I often have to wait 15–20 seconds for it to respond again. Reminders disappear when new ones arrive.

In addition, tasks have become almost unusable: they lose the color I assigned to each calendar’s tasks, the order I set is not kept, and sometimes I move a task (time or day) and then later find it back at the previous time or date. In short, several things aren’t working. What could be causing this?

As it is now, the app has become almost unusable. And it’s a real shame, because I thought it was fantastic and I’ve been using it since 2015.

Could you suggest any solutions?

Dear Luciano,

thank you for reporting these problems! I am sorry that it doesn't work correctly! However, since I did not get any similar reports from other users, I suppose it must have something to do with your installation. If you have been using it since 2015 its database might need some reorganization.

First you should create a backup using "Settings > Backups > Automatic backups" and if possible save it into Google Drive.

Then you should also export your settings using "Settings > Display and Use > Maintenance > Export settings".

Afterward you could try a few things:

1. If you would rather like to examine the problem further, you can send me a profile report: Turn "Settings > Display and Use > Maintenance > Profiling menu entries" on. Then return to the calendar view and select "Start recording performance" from the menu. Do a few things that are slow. The select "Stop recording performance" from the menu and send me the email that it creates. It contains information which function in CalenGoo took how long to execute and when and how often it was executed. Then I can maybe see what makes CalenGoo so slow.

2. Or, if you just want to get it working again, you could try to remove and re-add your accounts under "Settings > Accounts" and "Settings > Tasks".

3. And if that doesn't fix it, you could use the "Clear data" function in the "Settings" app under "Apps > CalenGoo > Storage" and then import your settings and re-add your accounts under "Settings > Accounts" and "Settings > Tasks".

Please be careful to not delete any of your important data!
