Repeat Alarm function doesn't seem to work any more (at least, for me)

Hello everyone,

Long time, happy Calengoo user here. 😊

I've had this setting enabled for Android Calengoo reminders for some years now, and it's always worked until a few days ago:

"Settings > Reminders > Repeat alarm"

In my case, I have 10 repeats 1 minute apart. This used to work, as I said, but now when I have a calendar reminder notify me audibly, I only get one sound. I don't hear another sound, unless I unlock the phone, drag down from the top of the screen and then tap on the notification, whereupon I hear the notification sound again.

I've tried turning off the "repeat alarm" setting, and then reinstating it, but this hasn't fixed the problem. I've also tried rebooting the phone a couple of times, but this didn't fix things either.

I've also tried changing the "Method to wake the device using the AlarmManager" from Automatic to Alarm Clock" but that hasn't fixed it. (I'm currently trying "Network Push" but I'm not expecting miracles with this, either.)

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?

Problem solved... I decided to try installing the beta version, but when Google Play provided no update, I uninstalled and reinstalled Calengoo, and that seems to have fixed the problem. (I'm still puzzled as to why it happened, but at least it's fixed. 🙂)

Great, I am glad that you could fix it this way! Unfortunately I don't know what might have caused it. Maybe your Android system has ignored CalenGoo's request to be started again after a minute. The battery optimization functions can cause such problems sometimes.

Unfortunately, I spoke (typed?) too soon, and the original problem I had is still there, but there's an interesting twist.

Aside from "Repeat alarm", "Repeat interval 1 min" and "repeat up to 10 times", my "old" reminder settings were "Show pop up window", "Display multiple events in pop-up window", "Display pop-up after selecting status bar notification". With these settings in use, the alarm will only sound once when a reminder is triggered.

If I change the setting "Display pop-up after selecting status bar notification" to " Display pop-up immediately", the alarm sounds when the reminder is triggered, and  _also_ for another 10 times at 1 minute intervals, which is how I would like the alarm sound to behave.

However, it used to give 10 repetitions even when the setting "Display pop-up after selecting status bar notification" was in use, so I don't know what's changed, but it seems to me that the version of Calengoo from about a month ago didn't have the bug (if in fact it is a bug...) that I've been experiencing.

I hope you have the time to look into this, and please let me know if you need further information.
