Database error on Linux install using XAAMP

I am receiving errors when trying to create the database on setup for r2.1d. I have 4 of the following errors that I am suspecting has something to do with a password missing from somewhere. Anyone have any ideas? The install will not continue unless this is resolved:

Undefined index: password in /opt/lampp/htdocs/CalemEAM/installation/form/view/templates/step_dbexpress.php on line 80
