| | Three clubs, one partnership | |
With the assistance of Rotary Service, three Rotary clubs have
formed an international Twin
clubs partnership to enhance their service projects and increase fellowship visits and volunteer opportunities. Through the partnership,
two U.S. clubs — Brandermill (Midlothian), Virginia, and Chicagoland Lithuanians (Westmont), Illinois — and the Rotary Club of Kaunas,
Lithuania, are collaborating to bolster the international scope of their projects.
“The partnership reflects the far-reaching arm of
Rotary and ways to expand relationships around the globe. These projects are proof that Rotary truly is international,” says Don Vaught,
president of the Brandermill (Midlothian) club. Read

| Exchanges foster friendships across borders |
Consider packing your bags and exploring the world with
fellow Rotarians by your side. Through Rotary Friendship Exchanges, Rotarians can experience a new culture and share their own with new friends.
Here’s what two participants have to say about their exchange experiences:
“Meeting active Rotarians who are making a
difference in their respective districts with a Service Above Self mindset inspires me to alter my ways back home. This leads me to greater empathy
for people in other countries [and] a much greater understanding of their challenges and customs.” — Lonna J. Lysne, Rotary Club of
Owatonna, Minnesota, USA
“It is my experience that Rotarians aren’t fully aware of the Rotary Friendship Exchange program. Even in
my own district, I have made visits to clubs explaining the concept, and still I get asked by many, ‘What is it all about, and what is
involved?’ I can only reiterate what a wonderful experience it is for all who take part. . . . Lasting friendships are formed.” —
Past District Governor Brian Piccolo, Rotary Club of Kelvedon & District, Essex, England Learn
