Visit Rotary Service at Convention

Are you attending the RI Convention in Bangkok, Thailand, 6-9 May? Read on to learn about opportunities to engage in service and fellowship activities with fellow Rotarians from around the world!

Attend Rotary Service breakout sessions

On the afternoons of 7, 8, and 9 May, you can attend attend breakout sessions on various topics. Participate in the sessions below to learn about new strategies and resources for enhancing your service projects.

  • Accountability and Transparency in Service Projects - What does it take to be a responsible project partner? Learn how to build trust with your donors and project stakeholders through sound reporting, financial management, public relations, and communications practices. Find out how improving accountability and transparency can benefit your next service project.
  • Partnering for Effective Service Projects - The knowledge and experience that partners have can help your next project reach its full potential. This session highlights partnerships between Rotary clubs, districts, and other organizations. Learn how to find a partner, build a strong relationship, and work together to increase your project's impact.
  • Rotary Community Corps - Want to mobilize community members, build local capacity, and increase the sustainability of your next project? A Rotary Community Corps (RCC) empowers people to identify their community's needs and develop effective solutions in partnership with a Rotary club. Learn from experienced Rotarians how RCCs can change lives and improve communities.

Network with people who share your passion

Visit the House of Friendship to learn about exciting opportunities to network with fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors through Rotary Fellowships and Rotarian Action Groups.

  • Rotary Fellowships are international groups organized around shared recreational or vocation activities. There are fellowships for doctors, musicians, travelers, and more. Download the Rotary Fellowships booth guide and connect with fellowships that share your interest.
  • Rotarian Action Groups (RAGs) help Rotary clubs and districts plan and implement large-scale projects in a particular area of service. There are 15 RAGs, and they focuse on topics such as microcredit, water and sanitation, and hunger and malnutrition. Visit these groups to learn how to get more involved in teh kind of service activities that inspire you. Download the guide to RAGs booth.

Explore Rotary Showcase
It's almost here! Rotary Showcase, a new social media tool, allows members of the Rotary family to share information about their clubs' service projects with the Rotary community and beyond. Visit the Rotary Showcase kiosks in the Resource Center at the House of Friendship during Convention, and be one of the first to explore the new application. You'll be able to add your club's service project, display project photos and videos, list partner clubs, track project contributions, and browse projects shared by fellow Rotarians. Rotary Showcase officially launches during the convention.
