Doing Good: Supporting Maternal and Child Health

Haiti has the highest infant and maternal mortality rates in the Western Hemisphere. Rotarians around the world are working to reduce these rates and improve access to essential medical services for all mothers and their children.

The Rotary Foundation provided a fully equipped medical Jeep for midwives to use to reach some of Haiti’s most remote villages. Watch a video about this project.

In honor of a special mother in your life, please consider making a gift to support Rotary’s work to help women and children everywhere.

Join Rotary’s recurring giving program and earn double points

Double Foundation recognition points will be automatically given to Rotarians and friends of Rotary who are enrolled in Rotary’s recurring giving program, Rotary Direct, and make one or more scheduled contributions between 1 April and 1 July.

Making a monthly, quarterly, or annual gift is the most cost-effective and efficient way to support Rotary’s life-changing grants and activities. Learn more in the Rotary Direct Information Guide.

2012-13 Worldwide Annual Fund Goal Announced

At the 2012 RI Convention in Bangkok, Thailand, Trustee Chair-elect Wilfrid Wilkinson announced a 2012-13 goal of US$120 million. Reaching this goal, he noted, “would catapult our Foundation’s capacity to do good in the world to an entirely new level.”

Thank you, District 4130!

During the 2012 International Assembly in San Diego, California, USA, Carlos Sandoval presented a check for US$138,120 to the Foundation from District 4130 (Mexico).

"Mexico is a delightful and lovely country, and Rotary is well and alive in Mexico,” said Sandoval, assistant regional Rotary Foundation coordinator. “This contribution, gathered through the efforts and hard work of every Rotarian in our district, is a testimonial to that effect."
