Mathematics is a culture of thought, and for those of us fortunate
enough; a way of life.
My definition: The study of sets and the relationships between them.
Let I = me, S,T = my sibling (child of my parents),
Consider (s,r),
Defined by: 1). IrI (I am a child of my parents) Reflexity
2).(SrT) implies (TrS) (My siblings are my parents children
,and visaversa)Symetry
3).IrS & IrT imlpies SrT Transivity.
hence, Social groups can be partitioned into equivalence classes
and the power of algebra can be brought to bear to study them.
Simce human beings are complex systems in their own right some fruit
may
come from considering the study of complex systems which are elements
algibric systems. i.e. seeking homomorphisims which exhibit
high correspondence between Known objects (gooups ,rings fields, etc.
)and
social systems.
