I'm very glad to congratulate all Calculate Linux users with second
anniversary of the project!
I want to mark all successes and achievements which were made at
second year of project exist:
- Calculate Overlay was run, there you can get access to all
developments of Calculate Linux.
- AcoolA, the test project of Linux distribution, which was based on
KDE 4, has combined with Calculate Linux Desktop. As a result, the
main sistem began to use the KDE 4 desktop.
- The first version of Calculate 2 utility has appeared.
- On the base of Calculate 2 and KDE 4 was made the server-client
decision for local network building on enterprises and posibility of
storage users desktop settings on the server.
- IRC channel #calculate on FreeNode server has opened for users
support.
- The work with LiveCD has been simplified.
- The problem with mirrors has been solved.
- Thanks to all persons who help us to distribute this sistem!
- The booting number of sistem encreas more than hundred time.
- The sistem distributes with possibility of using 7 languages for
extending of users geography.
- The first magazine (Datormagazin, Swedish) with the description of
Calculate Linux will be publish at this month.
- The first version of Calculate Linux Desktop based on XFCE desktop
was released. So, the using field is extending and includes low-
powered desktops.

And also, Calculate Linux has entered into first hundred of Linux
distributions today, according of Distrowatch rating!

hi lautre, it was a good post. at the wake of new release, i would
like suggesting you to write a nice review about it. keeping the new
users in focus like explaining calculate comparing with other distros.
like how user friendly it is. about availability of packages and other
features in simple words. it would be really helpful for many to
come. even around here, many are planning to try calculate as many
comment it easy.

also it would be nice to start a thread with basic terminal commands
to work on.
