The Devastating Divas of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Chapter will be hosting an Art Showcase entitled Black Like Me on Thursday, October 9th, 2014 as a part of our Social Action Week. The theme “Black Like Me” will give people the opportunity to artistically express what it means for one to be African American in the US today. In general, celebrating Black art is a way to honor the beauty and versatility of our wonderful community. We want you all to display your art! We are welcoming performances such as, poetry, dancing, monologues, singing, etc. We will also be accepting all visual paints/drawings to display throughout the venue. If you would like to perform, or display artwork, please contact us at kapp...@gmail.com by no later than Wednesday, October 1st, 2014.
