Greetings Community,

Check out the following program hosted by QPOC!

Do you identify somewhere within the vibrant and beautiful community of queer people of color?
Would you like to meet folx who can provide an amazing support network as you navigate this campus?

If so, join our QPOC listserv: qp...@lists.berkeley.edu

We recognize that this campus may be intimidating due to its size, population, and campus dynamics and more often than not, we are not introduced to certain spaces that are imperative to our success as students on this campus.
That being said, a whole new wave of folx who has yet to get introduced to the spectrum of resources Berkeley has to offer.

My name is Carmyn Jovel, and I am one of the QPOC Together Facilitators along with Lexi Lewis and Benji Delgadillo. We run a monthly discussion group for queer folx of color to come together in efforts to create a safe and brave space at UC Berkeley, thriving in our commonalities and differences as a form of radical self-love and self-care. In addition, QPOC Together is a space intended to build inter-community solidarity among existing QPOC orgs on campus to bridge our communities as we strive to survive and excel as we navigate this institution.
As Audre Lorde put it, “caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” QPOC Together is that 'act of political warfare.'

As the semester starts off, we wanted to try to get folx to get onto our listserv to continue to unify our community and expand our support networks.

Please email us back at qpocto...@gmail.com with question and join our listserv to get updates about our meetings this semester.

Con much amor,
QPOC Together.
