Please forward widely, apologies for cross postings.

Greetings Community,

Tuesday, April 15 from 6-8pm, come join 3 amazing organizations in the Public Service Center's last Community Conversation of 2014-15.  You will be in conversation with staff and leaders from organizations whose work ranges from organizing community in Deep East Oakland, supporting students in Richmond, and creating policy with young people in San Francisco.  This event will be formatted in an engaging way to nurture conversation and dialogue.

“Education either functions as an instrument which is used to facilitate integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity or it becomes the practice of freedom, the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world.”
- Paulo Freire, Pedagogy of the Oppressed
