Hello everyone,
Calamares 2.4-beta3 is out.
Changes since Calamares 2.4-beta2 include:
* filtered out non-UTF8 locales from locale module;
* fixed an issue which could cause resolv.conf to be overwritten with itself
while running Calamares in no-chroot mode;
* big rewrite of locales handling backend, this greatly improves locale
autodetection, which now takes into account the UI language and timezone
chosen by the user (like Ubiquity).
Note for packagers: this last change impacts the locale and localecfg modules,
as well as the GlobalStorage data entry through which locale shares data with
localecfg. The GlobalStorage entry change was necessary because we now write
multiple variables into locale.conf, as opposed to just LANG. Please be
advised that if you ship your own alternative to the localecfg module, you
will need to adapt it to the new format. If you use our upstream localecfg
module, no changes are required on your end.
