Hello everyone,

Calamares 2.3-RC1 is out, after another week of intense bug fixing. If this
tarball gets positive feedback and no new issues pop up, I'm looking to
release Calamares 2.3 final next week.

Changes since 2.3-beta2 include:
* fixed issue which could cause install failures because of mke2fs giving up
without retrying when devices are not ready yet;
* added the option of showing partition labels on the manual partitioning page
(see option "alwaysShowPartitionLabels" in partition.conf, default true, to
keep old behavior set it to false);
* fixed long standing issue with unwanted resize operations being executed and
potentially resulting in data loss (CAL-274 and CAL-271).

Tarball: https://calamares.io/downloads/calamares-2.3-rc1.tar.gz
SHA1: 5e613981542df82ea359c1de6e13e7981029c160
MD5: d441db7f66085117c2b9cd0a8fb3e26d

### Note for packagers, same as last week ###
If you've been waiting for the right time to work on your Calamares 2.3
deployment, my suggestion is to start now. Calamares 2.3 final is around the
corner, so this is your chance to
1) help make 2.3 a polished and high quality software product by reporting
Calamares bugs on our issue tracker [1],
2) get a head start on packaging and configuring distribution specific bits
(some of this might be non-trivial because of changes required by the LUKS
feature),
3) identify and fix distro-specific bugs early, so you don't have to wait for
later 2.3.x series releases to get something that works for you.
