Football Families -

Derrick Dixon sent a message out last night asking pray for a new CAL Freshman - Anissa Richer - and her family members.  She has only been at CAL since January and has only been on the track team for a few weeks for those of you who may not know her very well. Members of her family were at the Brussels airport during the explosions. He gives specific requests in his message below.

OK Folks,

Anissa Richer's mom's aunt and cousins were in the Brussels airport at the time of today's terrorist explosions. They have heard from her aunt, but they have not yet heard from her cousins. The family is huddled together literally speechless in Lexington with her mom's uncle.

Please pray for Justin and Stephanie Shults for their safety. Also pray for Anissa, her mom Leann Stewart and the rest of the family members here in Kentucky.

OK Folks,

Here is the latest update:

Still no word from Brussels officials on the status of Anissa's mom’s cousins Justin and Stephanie Shults. Uncle Geary ,who lives in Lexington and is Anissa's mom’s Uncle, is flying to Amsterdam today at 2p out of SDF to be with his wife Carolyn. He is going to Amsterdam because the border to Brussels is still closed. He is going to Amsterdam to get close and drive over the border once it opens up. Carolyn is alone in a Brussels and still has no hearing in one of her ears from the explosions at the airport. There is another family member, Chad, trying to get over there but his passport is expired. He is trying to get an emergency passport. Anyone with expertise in passports let me know so I can pass on to the family. Thank you

As you can see things are happening fast. Anissa and her family definitely need your prayers and any assistance you can think to give. Anissa is a Freshman who has only been at CAL since January and has only been on the team for a few weeks for those of you who may not know her very well.

Continue to pray,
Coach D : - )
