Football Families -
Please vote for Annie Yoho. She is a very courageous, compassionate and loving woman. She's encouraged me during this fight with my mom's cancer.  I know that I can call her anytime.
Your votes will help Annie to be selected as one of the 142 breast and/or ovarian cancer survivors that will walk in the Survivor Parade on Churchill Downs racetrack with fellow survivors, just before the 142nd running of the Kentucky Oaks.
You may vote daily from all of your IP addresses. Also, please share with your family and friends.

Below is the email David Yoho sent to me today.

This is a request for a vote – not a donation.

My courageous wife Annie went to war against breast cancer from the moment she was diagnosed.  (See her story below.) Part of that fight led us to the Survivors Parade held annually on the day before the Kentucky Derby. That is Oaks Day here in Louisville, when the Fillies run for the Lilies. The parade is on the track just before the race.

This is why we need your help today. We misunderstood the voting process. Long story SHORT – voting ends on March 15 – we are two weeks behind most of the nominees.

We only have eight days!

We need you to vote every day from every IP address you own. We’re asking you to forward this email to everyone you know and to post on social media.

Here is the story of Annie’s and battle against breast cancer as it appears on her Kentucky Derby site.

She was diagnosed on February 7, 2014 at 1:03pm. You don’t forget these things.

Annie Yoho beat cancer and now helps others win the battle. She started serving others during her chemo treatments. She visited other patients who were alone, rolling her IV pole right into their rooms. She encouraged them, laughed with them and prayed with them. She sat with patients in the waiting rooms, holding their hands and providing comfort.

Now Annie conducts physical fitness training for cancer patients in the YMCA Livestrong program. She helps them learn how to live life to the fullest with love as much as exercise.

Annie doesn’t want to march in this parade for herself. She wants to use the parade to heighten focus on this disease and those who suffer. She wants to provide hope to those without the will or sufficient loved ones to give them courage, confidence and faith.

Her picture on the site was taken immediately after she shaved her head on her terms at a party she threw for 50 family and friends. She went public with her fight and became a beacon for many others who had been fighting alone.

If you want to see Annie be a light to thousands more, let her use the Survivors Parade for the greater good. I have never been more proud of what she’s done and is currently doing. She still suffers hot flashes and although the knowledge of cancer’s return is real, she never loses her optimism in her purpose.  Thank you for your support.
