CAL Football Family and Friends - We always say "Go CAL and beat such and such"; We will continue to do so. Let's add to this with prayer that our players, families, students and fans glorify God with their actions tonight - a testimony to our guests. And don't forget safety for both teams - that God will put a hedge if protection around them.

Maya Wright, one of our SR Chaplains, has texted the following verses to the team daily this week.
Here is what Maya Wright has been texting out to the team:

DeSales Week Scripture Motivation

Day 1: Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Day 2: Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

Day 3:
1 Corinthians 9:25
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Day 4:
2 Samuel 23:12
But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the LORD brought about a great victory.

Day 5:
Philippians 2:3
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

This is a photo of how the CAL Cheerleaders decorated the players' lockers daily this week;) Pretty awesome!!

Remember God's promises and where two or more are gathered He is there.
If God is for us, who can be against us!
