Cool Berkeley Continues! This year UC Berkeley was crowned the 2019 Coolest UC in the Cool Campus Challenge. CHESC Award Winners UC Berkeley received five best practice awards at the annual California Higher Education Sustainability Conference in Santa Barbara in July. Berkeley's efforts on zero waste, environmental Justice, toxin reduction, and climate action took the honors. The awards highlight the breadth, depth and leadership in sustainability the campus both values and excels in. More >> | UC Berkeley is a Cool Schools Top Performer This month, Sierra, the national magazine of the Sierra Club, released its thirteenth annual “Cool Schools” ranking of North America’s greenest colleges and universities.
