| Cool Campus Challenge is Back and We Need You! April 1st - 26thUC-Wide Call to Carbon ActionWant to take action to tackle climate disruption, have fun, and crown Berkeley the Coolest UC? From April 1-26, all ten campuses are going head to head in the Cool Campus Challenge. The goal is for all faculty, staff and students to reduce their carbon footprints and help the University of California become carbon neutral by 2025.Sign up now: http://www.coolcampuschallenge.org and start pledging your carbon reducing actions.

Leading the Pack: How Companies are Collaborating to Tackle Plastic Packaging Waste Thursday, April 18th 12:30-2pm | Spieker Forum, Chou Hall, Haas School of Business Hosted by Haas Center for Responsible Business the Peterson Speaker Series with key industry players collaborating to overcome our reliance on plastic packaging and the resulting waste. Prison Abolition is Environmental Justice Monday, April 22nd 6-8pm | 159 Mulford Hall Mass incarceration, failing prison infrastructure, and penal labor are pressing environmental injustices that are often overlooked. Join the Student Environmental Resource Center and Underground Scholars to discuss the relationship between prisons and the environment, and further the idea of prison abolition as an environmental justice issue. | |
