California and the Future of Environmental Law and Policy
Check this two day conference April 10-11, out presented by the California Center for Environmental Law and Policy in Boalt Hall at UC Berkeley. Just a couple of topics the conference plans to cover includes California's Regulatory Response to Climate Change, the Future of Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Development in California, and Water Supply, Biodiversity, and the Future of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
Call for Photographers - Sustainability Photo ExhibitThe Sustainability Office is seeking amateur, professional, and student photographers and photojournalists to participate in Portraits of Sustainability, a
photo-essay exhibition that will capture a variety of themes related to sustainability efforts on the UC Berkeley campus. Photographers will be compensated $250 for their work which will be displayed at the Sustainability Summit on April 21st, and some photographs will be chosen for the Fall 2008 issue of the Breakthroughs magazine, the alumni publication of UC Berkeley's College of Natural Resources.
Greenpeace Global Warming Field Organizer JobJoin GreenPeace's global warming campaign by getting a job with their new program, Project Hot Seat. The last application deadline is April 28th, get lots more information at the link.
Bus Rapid Transit - City of Berkeley Meeting the City of Berkeley Planning Commission will
hold a public meeting on Wednesday April 9 regarding BRT, at 7pm in the North Berkeley Senior Center at 1901 Hearst Ave. BRT was debated for several months by CACS meetings attendees - now you can get an update about the issue and where the city currently stands.
