SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
		2015-2016 Sustainability Report   Eighth in the series – the campus provides transparency through on-going diligence on data accuracy, while streamlining the reporting to better focus on the most material aspects of our work. Highlights include: progress reports on campus sustainability programs including our gains in zero waste and green buildings, new Solar PV systems, The Green Initiative Fund renewal, and more! Introducing the OSE Student Team   Meet the student fellows for 2016-2017 and find out what they love about sustainability. This year's team is made up of Carbon Neutrality Fellows, Green Department Associates, and a Climate and Sustainability Education Resource Library Ambassador. Together they are working to engage students, faculty, and staff at UC Berkeley to promote sustainability and carbon neutrality activities.
		Looking for sustainability classes and student sustainability groups? We hope that everyone's school year is off to a great start! Check out the ongoing compiled lists of sustainability related classes and student groups to get involved with this fall.
		Green Department Program Continues to Expand Green Department certification offers recognition for taking extra steps to have greener operation and provides guidance on how to do so. Did you know that twenty percent of faculty and staff at UC Berkeley are certified under the Green Department Certification program? Are you one of them? If not, you can help achieve the campus’ goals of carbon neutrality, zero waste, and water conservation by getting your department involved.
