CACS Members and Friends,

Please Forward This Widely!

We want your help in saying thank you to people you know who've gone that extra mile to implement some "green practice" or taken steps in other ways to make sure the campus fulfills its strong commitment to sustainability. This is your chance to bring some well deserved attention to an unsung hero who is simply thoughtful on a day to day basis in reminding others to take care of our planet in small ways. Or perhaps you know someone who's made a significant difference in your consciousness about the environment. Please take a minute to complete the short nominee application (http://sustainability.berkeley.edu/blogs/announce/cacs/2008/03/sustainability-award-nomination.html). Applications are due April 4th, 2008.

The categories for nomination are:

  • Staff
  • Student
  • Faculty
  • Group

Recipients of the UC Berkeley Sustainability Awards will be announced at the Chancellor's Sustainability Summit on April 21, 2008. Go to http://sustainability.berkeley.edu/summit for more information about the Sustainability Summit. Be there for a great celebration!

Please e-mail stev...@berkeley.edu if you have any questions.

Have a great rest of the week!

Is anyone organizing rideshares? Roomshares? I am in Berkeley and would
like to carpool or take the train (not Amtrak bus) with a group. There
doesn't seem to be networking support at the conference website.

(Wish I had time to join the bike ride. :)

Have you all tried working with these folks? They might be a good resource.
