Hey guys,
Just a reminder to think about new board positions for our upcoming election (April-ish). Below is the language we have from the Bylaws about each position: Section 02: President The President shall preside at all meetings of the Association. He shall have charge of all official business of the Alumni Association and shall exercise general supervision of the Chapter between its meetings. He shall preserve all books, records, and documents pertaining to his office and shall hand them over to his successor at the end of his term of office.
Section 03: Vice-President The Vice-President shall preside at meetings of the Association in the absence of the President. He shall assist the President in the execution of his duties. He shall preserve all books, records, and documents pertaining to his office and shall hand them over to his successor at the end of his term of office.
Section 04: Secretary The Secretary shall record and maintain minutes of meetings of the Association and publish them in a timely fashion for inspection of the members. He shall keep all official documents and records of the Association. He shall be responsible for the general correspondence of the Association and shall submit all records to the Fraternity, as required. He shall preserve all books, records, and documents pertaining to his office and shall hand them over to his successor at the end of his term of office.
Section 05: Treasurer The Treasurer shall have charge of the finances of the Association. He shall be responsible for the placement of Association funds in a banking account and the safekeeping of accurate records of the Association’s financial transactions, including receipts or vouchers to cover expenses. He shall be responsible for collecting dues and fees from alumni. He shall, with the President, prepare an annual fiscal statement and submit it to the Association. He shall preserve all books, records, and documents pertaining to his office and shall hand them over to his successor at the end of his term of office.
We also have Active Chapter Liaison as part of the board (but not in the Bylaws), and he/she is basically responsible for attending chapter meetings regularly and keeping us all informed about all the chapter.
If you have any interest in any of the above positions, I'll figure out a way for us to digitally volunteer as tribute. I'll follow-up later this week with that and other election next steps, and also to schedule our next meeting.

I am not too committed, so I'm not opposed to canceling.
If we do it now I get the feeling it's just going to be us hanging out--that's fun too, of course, but I want to do something a little bigger too

I inquired with both Alexandre and Jessica yesterday regarding founder's day. Looks like they convinced Sam to lead the invite. We should let Surya or whomever know and help as well.
Good to know us alumni don't need to lead an event like this. Best to leave it to the actives.
Keep an eye out for FB invite "Founder Day" on April 10 at Dolores.

Yes, let's go ahead and cancel our event and possibly tag along to the CCA event. I received an invite last night, and have forwarded it along to all of you on Facebook.
