January 2017 Meeting Update

Hi All,

Just wanted to follow up on last night's meeting. Here are things we discussed:

Convention Delegate 

Tony will be our delegate. Tommy and I will also attend Convention.

Convention Planning 

1/31 is the deadline for the early Convention Registration discount, so if you intend to go, sign up soon! There's also a banquet-only registration option if you want to skip all the business sessions (and pay less $$). Does anyone know who the Actives intend on sending? 

Active Chapter Initiation 

Initiation is this coming Saturday, 1/28. Time TBD. Sorry for the short notice--we just found out as well! They are shorthanded on ushers, so if you are free, consider going! I won't be able to as it's CNY and I'll be at home, but thanks to those of you who are making the trek there!

Active Chapter Recruitment 

Recruitment is next week and we are likely going to help them organize 1 event, as we did last semester. We'll get more info from Surya/Stacy about what day it'll be and what we'll be responsible for.

Alumni Association Petitions 

We have 2 petitions that need to be voted on by 1/31. Reply with your vote for each of these petitions and I will Docusign them:

Hemiunu Alumni Association

Hippodamus Alumni Association

Future Meetings 

Future meetings will be the 3rd Tuesday of every month, so the next one is 2/21. I'll send out a reminder when it's closer to that date.

Retreat
Actives are planning on having a Tahoe retreat sometime in March(?), and we will try to be coordinate with them so we can be there too!

That's 6 yes votes for each including the slack votes, so I went ahead and signed it!

Also--if anyone else is planning on going to Convention, registration is $230 now but goes up to $285 after tomorrow.
