Where do we stand on the Convention Scholarship? Has anything been done? If not, we really need to get the ball rolling.

I emailed Surya for the amount the chapter is providing and a group photo for the page. He should repond by this Saturday.I also will verify with youcaring about how funds are transferred. It looks like they switched platforms.

Feel free to make suggestions for text changes on the fundraising page. I kept it simple.

Ok guys we are sooooo late in getting this out (my bad). Do we have any volunteers to post this to facebook as well as send an email to the alumni?

I'm still getting my head back in the game from my trip, but we'll also need to have a meeting soon. Stay tuned.

Sorry double email.. I have been emailing with Surya about what they have budgeted. Last I heard was $750 total. I'll let you all know when he confirms and furthermore, what our goal will be.

Is it okay for us to just donate to this thing? I can take the reigns for posting, etc if you guys want! I have a little extra time in the evenings these days.

Convention is March 17, but they probably want to book tickets soon to get a good deal.

Sarah, the youcaring site is not currently accepting donations. I remember this happening last year and I think it has something to do with linking the bank account to it. This needs to be handled ASAP. Let me know how I can help.

Kelly, thanks for taking the reigns. Once we get the youcaring issue sorted out, posting it publicly would be awesome. I was hoping to make a donation to make the fundraiser site look active, and then maybe we could each contribute some and hopefully get a few randoms to donate as well. If we lower the goal to $750, it should be realistic.

As a last resort, we have about $400 in the bank account that we could front the actives in case they wanted to book stuff asap, as long as we raise at least that...

Surya told me that the chapter has budgeted $750 for convention--which should be close to enough for 1 person to go to Charlotte. Let's try to send at least one more! Since there are so many more alumni now, we should expect more donations.

Surya said he would bring this up next meeting, and see how many people are wanting to go

I asked Surya and he thinks $1000 would be enough. I haven't tried donating the last day or two, but I can tonight.

Ive talked to Sarah a bit and will most likely post on Facebook and do a mailchimp letter when the youcaring is working--does anyone know if it's working now??

Also...we should really post this asap.  The deadline for reduced entry fees is the end of this month.

APX Convention is coming soon!

Where: Charlotte, NC

When: March 17 - 19

Fun Facts: Charlotte, North Carolina is the 17th largest city in the US. It was named after Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, who was the Queen of Great Britain. As a result, the crown motif is quite prevalent in the city, and can be seen on street signs, city vehicles and is the official logo of the Charlotte government.

APX National Convention is coming soon! This year, convention is being held in Charlotte. The flight is quite expensive, and we'd love to help send 3 actives to convention. Your donations will help go toward the flight, hotel, and registration fees. 

This is a great opportunity for a younger member to meet APX brothers from all over the country, and is one of the few chances that we get to participate in a national event.

Hey, is there any way we can pump this scholarship up? The deadline for discounted registration is this month, and then it jumps up by $60. Even then, the deadline for registration is March 13.

Yeah it's looking pretty sad. I'll post it to the Bay Area page as well and work on getting more alumni contact info.

Also, anything we can contribute amongst ourselves would be greatly appreciated.
