Grr. I have a problem with cakewalk that maybe I am too stupid to
solve. It used to be that when I recorded a track, only the track was
recorded. Now the whole backing track is being recorded too. It seems
like a simple problem, but quite simply, I don't know what I pushed.

The output for the master is my soundcard. The input for the recorded
track is also the sound card. That sounds like it would obviously be
the problem right there. But there are no other options listed, and I
don't believe I changed anything. Maybe something got switched around
when I was trying out another soundcard on the same computer a while
back. I don't know.

I'd be embarrassed to tell you how long I've been using cakewalk, to
spend as long as I have trying to solve a problem like this.

Sounds like the same problem I had recently after using Cake PA-9 for years.
Check your computers (or maybe it's a Blaster HQ's) audio "mixer" and make
sure you don't have "What you hear" selected.
